Sub-Assemblies of Powdered Metal Parts

In addition to producing custom engineered powdered metal and/or sintered metal parts Comtec Mfg., Inc. will offer the customer completed sub-assemblies which are mechanical in nature and include the assembly of “powdered metal to powdered metal” components, “powdered metal to machined” components, “powdered metal to cold formed” components, “powdered metal components to frictionless bearings”, etc., etc.
Our expertise in sub-assembly work provides the customer an avenue to eliminate costly time consuming labor intense pre-assembly work and allow more time to concentrate on building their end product.

Our mechanical sub-assemblies include two, three, and four piece sintered metal parts joined together and sinterbonded to achieve complex shapes that are not practical for the pressed metal molding process.  In addition we produce complete drive gear, needle bearing, & bearing housing assemblies, pawls & ratchets that incorporate cold formed locking pins, timing plates assembled with machined trip pins, lever locks joined with ground dowel pins, and drive couplers in union with ground dowel pins just to name a few.
